Re: Using MCE Receiver as extender

Thanks for your quick reply. 2) I did not succeed to install the service, but some of the error code indicates that it is already installed You have to execute Eventghost as Admin (right click, run as Admin on eventghost exe) to install the service. I executed the installer as admin when installing ...

Re: Support for XBMC2 plugin (formerly XBMCRepeat)

I'll be making another attempt to use and configure the remote. What would be the latest version? Is the one included in the June version of EG the latest? Thanks in advance!

Re: Microsoft MCE Remote - Vista and newer

My post may actually better fit here, so let me cross-link to the other thread and suggest to continue discussion here. My aim is to use the "blasting feature" of my MCE receiver, but I cannot get it to work yet. http://www.eventghost.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6221 Thanks in advance for looking ...

Re: Using MCE Receiver as extender

You create a macro, add this action and learn the IR code you like to blast Thanks for your advice. I have tried this, but still do not succeed to get the "blasting" working. What I have done: 1) Installed the MS MCE Remote - Vista / Win7 plugin 2) I did not succeed to install the service, but some...

Thanks, no need to use the MCE plugin? Can I blast to both outputs separately?

Re: Using MCE Receiver as extender

Hello steve1977, The MCE receiver is not meant to be an extender. To get the blaster working, you have to use the "Transmit IR" function in EventGhost, this function can blast an IR code that was learned in a previous step. Thanks for your quick reply. I am aware that it is not meant to be this way...

Using MCE Receiver as extender

I have a HP MCE receiver and remote (http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-OEM-MCE-KIT-REMOTE-CONTROL-USB-IR-RECEIVER-MCE-remote-Control-Emitter-for-HP-/290887919192?pt=US_Remote_Controls_Pointers&hash=item43ba456658). It works brilliantly out of the box to control my media player on Windows. All that without...

Re: Support for XBMC2 plugin (formerly XBMCRepeat)

Here we go with what I did to get this running. I added from the "old" (stable) version of your plugin the following key: + (long) key XBMC2: Up - (long) key XBMC2: Down Hmm, I don't understand. How/what did you add from the "old" (stable) version? I don't remember removing anything so how could yo...

Re: Support for XBMC2 plugin (formerly XBMCRepeat)

1) Plus and minus work, but there are two things missing: * plus (long) and minus (long). Not an issue as I could do this myself What did you have to do? Here we go with what I did to get this running. I added from the "old" (stable) version of your plugin the following key: + (long) key XBMC2: Up ...

Re: Support for XBMC2 plugin (formerly XBMCRepeat)

This is fantastic, thanks a lot. I will give it a try over the weekend to fix the keymap. I actually like the volup/voldown as it makes me independent of my tv remote and I can control everything with the apple remote. I can get volup/voldown to work when mapping it in actions, but this happens also...

Re: Support for XBMC2 plugin (formerly XBMCRepeat)

Finally had the chance to try it out. Thanks again for developing this. It is partially working, but still a few things are not. Below summary of everything: What works: 1) Left, left (hold), right, right (hold) all work and do what they are supposed to do. Also, I like it that left and right transl...

Re: Support for XBMC2 plugin (formerly XBMCRepeat)

So any feedback about the added AppleRemote keymap support? I didn't add it for my own sake. jonib Apologies for not replying earlier. Really appreciate you adding the keymap support. I am travelling over the last days and will only be back to my computer tonight. I am very eager to get this workin...

Re: Support for XBMC2 plugin (formerly XBMCRepeat)

There are quite some things that I would like to behave differently You could use the event notification of this great plug-in when a movie is playing, to enable a folder containing the macro to press stop, but when the movie finishes, it disables that same folder so the macro no longer works. And ...

Re: Support for XBMC2 plugin (formerly XBMCRepeat)

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes, I am using your plugin version 0.6.3d. I am using an apple remote and have mapped the 7 available keys with XBMC2/buttons/remote/ in eventghost. There are quite some things that I would like to behave differently: 1) When watching a movie and selecting "back" ("XBMC...

Re: Support for XBMC2 plugin (formerly XBMCRepeat)

I am trying to get things work with keymaps, but really struggling here. Two questions: 1) How can I find out what keymap my remote is using. The \programfiles\xbmx\system\keymaps folder contains 15 different keymaps and I struggle to understand which one is used by remote? Is there an easy way to f...
