Re: Amazon Echo Skill EchoToEventGhost

The version of the code from July will pass the deviceID to EG as part of the payload, you just need to map that out in your python code. No need for different skills name per device anymore. I have 1 echo, 2 dots and Alexa on my cell. I say Alexa tell home to turn on the lights and the EG can figur...

Re: api.ai python integration

I have an Alexa skill on the general support forum. The Actions on Google work in a similar MANNER. That actions makes a post to EG via the Restful call and EG performs and action. I stay away from Google APIs as they change year. Api.AI is a different company. I use Wit.ai which is the similar prod...

Re: Considering a new TV but I want to use EG to control it

I use a Global Cache ir blaster. Their site has all the codes and I highly recommend. It does require a few lines of code on the EG side but then you just copy and rename a few things per command.

Re: Amazon Echo Skill EchoToEventGhost

The post from Amazon should be in this format. There is a sample py file in the download.

0 #command
1 #Location (deviceID)
2 #SessionID
3 #RequestID

Re: Webserver

Did you get this working?

I would add the ping plugin if not, figured it when it stops responding and then run a batch command "tracert ip > some file". That will tell you where in the network the issue is.

Re: Adding a library - Yeelight

You would have to write a little code.

The project you pointed too has a Readme that includes a pip install. Once you have it install locally Add the import in your Python script action and u are all set to code.

My BlackBox for Voice Command Processing

This is that code that drives my home automation through voice commands. This combined with my Alexa Skill http://eventghost.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7429 and "OK Google" with AutoRemote https://joaoapps.com/autoremote/ all work very well for my house. I do not share all the Vera and TV ir code...

Re: Amazon Echo Skill EchoToEventGhost

Thanks Igvk, it does support follow questions. There is an example in the included py. You would need to add some logic to remember want was said last but it would only take a few lines. I don't plan to us amazon language model. I have been using Wit.ai for years to do this and before the Echo I use...
