Re: Remote Controls
Hi shaggy79... Thanks for the Device Description and Hardware ID's for the 0019 remote. I think that the questions you have now will be answered better in the forum topic for the particular plugin that you are using with it. However, I can offer you some thoughts. "But nothing happens" Well it seems...

Re: Remote Controls
The Winradio WR-G305e communications receiver is an interesting beast, it's a Software Defined Receiver (SDR). In WEFAX mode you can receive weather satellite imagery straight from the satellites. In HF-FAX mode you can receive weather charts from the various national weather services. In ACARS mode...

Re: Remote Controls
about AAAH shaggy79... I did some searching on the Internet. The USB\VID_0BDA&PID_0161&MI_02 identifies a Realtek RTS5158 or 5161 chip used for card readers/writers. Some of the later chips in the series allow OEMs to program their own VIDs/PIDs. But that capability is not available in this chipset....

Re: Remote Controls
shaggy79... Yeah, I was also puzzled about creating those kinds of links, and not even very long ago either. Check this out. As for postage and packaging costs, here in the farthest-flung part of Africa, it ends up being huge. Speaking of this region, we call a mate or a bud a china. Thanks china......

Re: Remote Controls
about AAAH shaggy79... Thanks, that information is very useful. The VID says that it is made by Realtek. The PID is identified as a Mass Storage Device in usb.ids , although we know it's a card reader. So, I will look around the Realtek web sites to see if I can find a model number for it. If you do...

Re: Remote Controls
shaggy79... Can you do Procedure 01 again for AAAH, but now try: Click on the + next to Universal Serial Bus controllers to expand it. i) right-click on eHome Infrared Receiver (USBCIR) and select Properties. ii) go to the Details tab and write down Device Instance Id information. (It should look si...

Re: Remote Controls
shaggy79... Thanks. Actually, the result you gave me using Procedure 01 might prove useful after all. Now I know that it does not work for MCE devices. I have asked Sem;colon for a procedure that works for them. I wish I had the money to splurge on lots of different remotes. Then I could give more i...

Re: Remote Controls
shaggy79... The 0048 is a receiver only, so you must use that leftover TV remote that you used with AAAH for 0048 as well. I need to get the Vendor ID and the Product ID from Procedure 01. One thing that I just thought about, AAAH and 0019 are both Microsoft eHome Infrared Transceiver devices. I do ...

Hi shaggy79, I know of some people here that have 0048 , but I personally do not have it. I have seen a few posts lately regarding some trouble with it: General Support Re: USB-UIRT stops working ... Re: Remote Controls
Hi Spooner, and welcome to EventGhost.
I don't know much about serial port adaptors for Bluetooth.
But perhaps I can suggest trying the Bluetooth plugins instead of the serial plugins.
Just wanted to let you know that you are not being ignored...

Re: AAAH shaggy79... It's great to know that it works with EventGhost, at least with RP-0016. This is how I originally envisaged the purpose of the topic. If you get yourself a Logitech Harmony or a Philips Pronto learning remote, then you could probably set up more buttons than are available on you...

Re: Remote Controls
about AAAH Hi shaggy79, Thanks for your query, I was beginning to think that this topic was a waste of time. Let us refer to your query as AAAH. AAAH.png First of all, did it come with a transmitter (the hadheld part with buttons) also? Some of the remote controls for PCs follow the Microsoft MCE re...
