Re: SChedule Hourly Event , every day

if you provide me some more detail on the event you want to get produces every so many hours, minutes or second I can provide an example. what I need to know is if the event needs to get triggered at a specific time. like every hour at the top of the hour. so 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 5:00 and so on an...

Re: SChedule Hourly Event , every day

there is a wait option for the Trigger Event action. if you set the waittime to the number of seconds you want to wait until the event gets triggered that will be your delay.. so add one of those actions to the Autostart group and add the same action to the macro that has the same event that you are...

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

and as far as that last error is concerned. I am not sure what that is all about. I think it is in issue internally to matplotlib. I would have to see if I can replicate the problem, and if I can I would have to report it to the developers of matplotlib ******* EDIT ****** upon investigating that er...

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

you do not want the plt.show() in the script. unless it is for testing purposes. That will display the plot using wxPython which is the graphics module in EG. That is going to chew up a lot of memory if a bunch of plots are opened up. so remove that line. You are also going to need to add plt.close(...

Re: Might be just me but.. Weird Themeing issue.

OK when Eg was originally written was wayyy back in the hayday of Windows XP and most machines had 256MB of ram.. So ram consumption was a big thing. In order to decrease the memory use when you minimize EG if you notice the taskbar icon disappears. That is because the frame has been destroyed. It d...

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

here is an updated save routine. from io import BytesIO buf = BytesIO() plt.savefig( buf, format='png', dpi=600, transparent=True, bbox_inches='tight', pad_inches=0.02 ) buf.seek(0) # you can write the image data yourself is you like. with open(WebPfad + Geraet + '_' + Modul + '.png', 'wb') as f: f....

Re: Speech

I did manage to get other tts voices installed it was a royal pain in the ass to do and have it work properly. I had to install the speech engine server and all kinds of crap to get it done. Only to be let down by the additional voices. They all have that robotic quality to them. I wish someone woul...

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

Which example are you using?

You are not going to be calling plt.show() because you don't want to show it. You want to save it. I will get that portion of the code together for ya.

That warning is taking place because there are a bunch of plots created and not closed.

Re: Core Audio Plugin

the core audio plugin is not causing a USB device connection event. There is also still a bug in the core audio plugin I came across. I have to run a few errands and I will fix it in a few hours. what would happen with my samsung TV is when I turned it on I would get a device connect event. then a d...

Re: Core Audio Plugin

from what I am seeing is when you power off your SamsungTV you are trying to run a macro that sets the default audio renderer to the NVDIA HDMI endpoint and when you power the TV on you are setting the endpoint to the internal sound card. I am not sure if this is what you wanted to do or not. Window...

Re: Drawing graphs in EG

just let me know if you have any questions. The hardest thing about programming is learning the syntax and the vocabulary. This may make it a bit easier to understand how object orientated languages work.. In Basic you had the "goto" in order to redirect what code gets run. This is the mechanism tha...

Re: bug with command line "eventghost.exe -e"

it has to open a new instance for every event. how else would the event manage to get to the running instance? so this is how the process works. if you do not have EG running and you use the -e command line parameter it is going to start EG and that event will get triggered. and it is going to leave...

Re: bug with command line "eventghost.exe -e"

but I'd run 2-3 instances at once If i could haha. I have said it many times and I will say it many times more I am sure. With EG anything is possible. eventghost.exe -multiload you just have to be super careful about conflicting macros. you do not want to end up with EG instances having a war.
