Re: iTunes Plugin

It seems that it is not working on your system but it is working for me.

I just tested using iTunes 12.3.1.23 and EventGhost 0.4.1.r1700 on Win7 x64

Unfortunately I don't see anything obvious from that error to know what the problem might be.

Re: Network Broadcast Sender / Listener

Glad it works. :) Looks like your messages are being null terminated which I'm pretty sure is incorrect. Instead of this workaround where we force the null character into a payload and then ignore it, it would be preferable: 1 To fix your udp sender if possible. 2 Possibly to modify the broadcaster ...

Re: Network Broadcast Sender / Listener

aha! So I think the problem is that your EIBPC is not sending a properly formatted UDP message. If you use something like wireshark you might be able to figure out what is going on. My guess is that it is either sending a bad character (example a null character or similar) or there is a problem in t...

Re: Network Broadcast Sender / Listener

It's hard to tell but it sounds to me like this has nothing to do with broadcaster, but instead is caused by this particular event you are assigning to a macro. I looked at your logs but I think they were both logs made by trying to run EG after the xml file had been corrupted and could not be loade...

Re: Network Broadcast Sender / Listener

Can you walk us through what kind of messages you are sending and what the events end up looking like? I've been sending UDP commands to eventGhost from other programs for years with no problem. Looking at that error message, I don't see anything related to the Broadcaster and without more informati...

You need to enable the "directory watcher" plugin first.

Re: help sending keystrokes to elite dangerous game

No there is no malicious intent, It's more of a wanting my cake and eating it too kinda thing. I am useing vox commando for voice recognition and upon success it shoots a udp broadcast to EG as a triggering event. Eg will hopefully at some point be able to generate Directx keystrokes. I will be abl...

Re: Nest Thermostat plug-in

Hi all, We have users on the VoxCommando forum who are hoping to integrate communication with their Nests. I'm wondering whether this Eventghost plug-in is a possibility. (I don't have any Nest products so I can't personally test it out.) I've read your post above about stopping development. What is ...

Re: Network Broadcast Sender / Listener

Hello, EG receives this (yes I know it is from a plugin at the moment) TCP.zVirtualScenes.Temperature ['192.168.1.15', u'Fibaro1M',u'2',u'xy.z'. u'ab.c'] Cheers! can you clarify what you mean by this please. When you say "EG receives this"... to you mean that the history window is showing an EVENT ...

Re: Network Broadcast Sender / Listener

I don't understand what you are trying to do but maybe if you can explain it we can suggest the proper way to go about it.

To the best of my knowledge, the broadcaster plugin has not changed at all for several years because it works fine as it is.

Don't use the same port for WOL and for your Broadcast listener.

Re: Weather Information

You can't place python script into a macro parameter.

You need to use a python script to do this.

Re: Network Broadcast Sender / Listener

It kind of depends on which variable you want to use but something like this should work: eg.plugins.BroadcastListener.Broadcast(u'Bedroom.TV.Status.Volume', u'Bedroom.TV.Status.Volume'+MyVar, 33333) or possibly eg.plugins.BroadcastListener.Broadcast(u'Bedroom.TV.Status.Volume', u'Bedroom.TV.Status....
