Re: Media Player Classic

Since the forum went down and all attachments were lost, can someone upload the latest version of the plugin that supports both MPC-BE and MPC-HC?

Thanks!

Re: Re-run macro until condition X is true/false

Kodi is setup correctly, and launches in full screen when the TV and receiver are already on. The problem is when the device is not attached it just doesn't work properly. Besides it not always opening in full screen, EG somehow doesn't think Kodi has the focus even though it does. I have to manuall...

Re-run macro until condition X is true/false

My situation is that I've got a macro to launch Kodi. This macro gets fired in response to a keypress on the remote, which is sent by a manual keypress and also as part of the "Watch Kodi" remote activity which also turns on my TV and receiver. The problem is that if Event Ghost launches Kodi before...

Re: Windows 10 MceRemote handling keypresses

Thanks man, turns out, before I could do any of that, I got everything working. I think what did it was uninstalling the service, rebooting, installing the service, and then rebooting again. This was literally the 4th time I'd gone through the process, but it was the first time I had rebooted after ...

Re: Windows 10 MceRemote handling keypresses

That makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, those steps didn't work for me. I ran through them multiple times now... running EG as administrator. Uninstalling, rebooting, running EG as administrator, reinstalling. Still getting Windows handling the events as well as EG. I should also point out, I'm on ...

Windows 10 MceRemote handling keypresses

My windows 10 install got updated to the Creators Edition yesterday, and ever since I've been having issues with my EventGhost setup. Windows seems to be handling the MceRemote events (particularly MceRemote.Mce.Play) when EventGhost used to be the only one handling those. In EventGhost disabled all...

Re: New way to get MCE Remote signals in EG (for Vista/Win7)

Thanks for the update on what you did stottle. I have to say that I'm now 5 days in and the plugin hasn't crashed. I don't experience more than 5 minutes of interference while the TV is warming up and then everything is kosher again. I've never been able to go more than 36 hours without a crash so I...

Re: New way to get MCE Remote signals in EG (for Vista/Win7)

After a day and a half it seems to be working much better. I turned on my TV tonight, started getting the interference that I've gotten before, but after about 5-10 minutes (wasn't watching EG at the time) I noticed that the IR receiver's LED wasn't on. I figured it had probably crashed, but I check...

Re: New way to get MCE Remote signals in EG (for Vista/Win7)

Trying it out now. Hopefully I'll have some more information for you by the end of this weekend (always tricky when a problem takes some time to develop). I also wanted to say thanks for taking the time to look into this, stottle. It's greatly appreciated. One thing I noticed in my testing this morn...

Re: New way to get MCE Remote signals in EG (for Vista/Win7)

I realize the TV is the source of the interference. My IR receiver is placed below a sheet of opaque glass, to the right of the TV. The IR from the TV is bouncing off the far wall and being reflected towards the receiver. I don't have another place to put the receiver where I can still use it. It's ...

Re: New way to get MCE Remote signals in EG (for Vista/Win7)

I posted in this thread almost two years ago and am still having the same issues. I finally have definitively figured out what the issue is, but I don't have a solution currently. When I reboot my HTPC, or after the plugin crashes and restarts, everything works perfectly fine. I get no MceRemote.Unk...

Thanks, I didn't think of trying that since EventGhost couldn't start/connect to it. It worked fine though.

Re: New way to get MCE Remote signals in EG (for Vista/Win7)

Yeah, I've tried positioning the receiver as far back as I can, but it still manages to get hit with reflective light from somewhere. It's not consistent though. Some times it will work fine with lights on in the room, other times I receive bogus commands at night when all the lights are off except ...

Re: New way to get MCE Remote signals in EG (for Vista/Win7)

Stottle, your new plugin is awesome, but I'm having a few problems on my new Win7 HTPC. First off, I'm using a Vista MCE remote and receiver model number GP-IR02BK. I'm not sure if the receiver is overly sensitive or what, but since switching to your driver, it seems that sunlight and the CFL bulbs ...
