Re: After upgrading to version 0.5.0-rc6 HTTP webserver events need to be renamed

Thanks for the suggestion but I think it would be better if we had complete control over the form of the triggered events. In my use case I have complete logical separation between "remotes" and "devices". That allows me to add, remove or modify remotes without modifying the actual controlled device...

Re: After upgrading to version 0.5.0-rc6 HTTP webserver events need to be renamed

Hi. The code for removing the prefix is not working for me.

I have tried many things but cannot avoid the separator point. For example,

Code: Select all

eg.TriggerEvent(prefix="event", suffix="")
still leaves the point at the end of the event string

Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Re: Sony TV Network Remote Control Plugin

Thanks tobyg for your work. I have a Sony X850, one of the 2015 Series 4k TV's. I have had some troubles making the plugin work so here are some comments in case someone finds it useful. IP control includes access security. It seems to need a cookie, or auth first before it will work. The controllin...

Re: USB-UIRT IR code learning crashes EventGhost

This worked for me: Download the LrnHelper app (http://www.usbuirt.com/lrnhelper_0_0_5.zip). The LrnHelper app has been designed so that it can be used *while* another program is also using the USB-UIRT... ...With LrnHelper open, you can start the LEARN process in Eventghost. You should see the LrnH...

Don't know if I can help to maintain eventghost project but count me on it. I also think this topic should be more visible in the forum.

Re: Dynamic Webserver (variable processing)

Hi. I am trying the dynamic webserver plugin and have found that directory listings do not work, showing only a white page. Is it a known problem? Other problem that I has really tried to solve but couldn't is the use of non ascii characters. I have read that Templates must be stored in UTF-8 if the...

Re: iPhone web app supporting long button presses

I don't know very much about text encodings but here is a way to solve the problem. Add the command "eg.globals.Data = eg.globals.Data.decode('cp1252')" to the end of the "Set Spotify Info" python script in the macro "Spotify UpdateData". Then set the output data coding of the Write file operation i...

Re: iPhone web app supporting long button presses

Hi, I've added a spotify page to the remote pages to show how to poll data from the webserver and see, e.g., what's currently playing spotify. In the attachment below you can find my current web app and its corresponding eventghost configuration file. The spotify page can be accessed from the device...

Re: iPhone web app supporting long button presses

@Jostein: The dynamic web server plugin requires you to reload the entire page where the variables reside to show its updated content. The different remote pages in my web app are in fact one single page that hides and show parts of it dynamically, so it is imposible to cache only some parts of it. ...

Re: iPhone web app supporting long button presses

:derelict do you have a bigger iphone than me? ;-) sorry about that. That part was not finished. I have finally decided to disable scrolling and using a page mechanism. Re: iPhone web app supporting long button presses

Here it is my eventghost configuration file. The relevant part for the settings working is in folder "Applications/Processes Management/Manager for WebServer". Hope you find it useful. To create the imagemap for light control I used a little program called mapedit (" http://www.boutell.com/mapedit/ ...

Re: iPhone web app supporting long button presses

Hi Jostein, The settings part requires in fact some phyton scripting. When a switch is pressed, a start or quit event is sent depending on the "toggled" attribute of the switch. In order to get the toggled attributes in its correct states, a little script is executed: it runs a bat command that writ...

iPhone web app supporting long button presses

I have been working on an iphone web application for use with the webserver plugin. I think I got some improvements over the inspiring examples in this forum, so i am uploading it in case anybody is interested. Some comments: 1 - It is designed as a web app that can be launched from the iPhone home ...
