Re: ZWave options for EG

Sounds great Kevin, thanks. Although I have not entered the world of Zwave yet (using RFXCOM with X10 protocol), this is going to make it very tempting to start trying it out!

Re: PushBullet plugin (Pako)

Kevin, did you ever follow up on this?
Phil, did you find a work around for using Pushbullet?

Re: Webserver and WebSocket

I would like to start improving my webserver, which I set-up a long time ago, with only text-based hyperlinks to trigger actions and without any feedback. I would like to start using icons/buttons and preferably with feedback/variables. This thread is quite old and seems to have ended with a questio...

Re: PushBullet plugin (Pako)

Thanks, good to know that it should be working. As for the log: I hope to be able to look into it this weekend.

Re: PushBullet plugin (Pako)

I did not migrate to 0.5.0 in order to avoid issues with PB but since a few days the EG PB plugin is not working anymore and I get the 'no connectivity' issue in the EG log when trying to send a Push from within EG. PushBullet between my other devices (Android tablet and iPhone) are still working as...

Re: Securing webserver access from public IP

Thanks for the solution of opening ports from EG, Kevin! I will try it out at some point, but will not have time in short term due to travel. By the way, I also have a router with VPN feature, but that still requires an open port, right? If this can be closed when not needed it would boost security ...

Re: Securing webserver access from public IP

Kevin, do you think it is possible to open a port in a router only temporarily and from outside using EG? I am thinking that if you can use, for example, the PushBullet plugin to send a command to EG when travelling abroad, you can let EG open a specific port in the router. You can quickly get to yo...

Re: RFXcom - Continuation of my 2-year old Magnet switch thread...

I believe he Nexa stuff is supported so that should work, yes. I have similar setup, although I am using the now obsolete RFXCom LAN Transceiver and Dutch 'Klik-aan-klik-uit' switching units. Not sure what you want to do with the magnetic switch, but you might have to check if it sends separate 'mak...

Re: Surveillance cams that can UDP broadcast

I don't have an answer to your question but I can say that I have been using the ability of camera's to upload a picture to an ftp server upon detection of motion. I use the folderwatcher plugin to create actions upon motion detection (including temporarily switching on a monitor and showing the vie...

Re: Trigger only when event is detected 'x' times in 'y' seconds

I assume that receiving a events is not the problem for topic owner, but rather how to get an event (or action) only when 'event is detected 'x' number of times in 'y' seconds.', as mentioned in his first post.

Re: I feel like Discord with webhooks would make a good plug

I think you do need to add a device to your PB account somehow.

Note that the free account has a limit of 500 push notifications per month.

It would have been wiser had you used more polite language in spite of how you felt.
In general, it gets you (and others around you) further if you keep negative emotions away from your conversations.

Re: I did it!!!

I would have to agree with KG on this one.
If you think your single-sentence-post "are you really asking me that? wtf man! how stupid do you think i am?" is normal conversation, think again.
