Re: PushBullet plugin (Pako)

@Paul As a suggestion Create a macro that is triggered by PushBullet.Note.Note Then create a python script with something like this: result = eg.event.payload[0] eg.plugins.EventGhost.TriggerEvent(result) this will then trigger an event called main. followed by the payload of the pushbullet message....

Re: Webserver - Z-Way

Hi Sorry, completely missed those instruction files! However, I seem to now be on a newer version than either 1 or 2 and the module section no longer is an option. There is however an app section which looks like it could be interesting, maybe the z-way part could be turned into an app. For the mome...

Re: Raspberry Pi

Hi Im keen to use this to run a line of code to backup a few pi's on a weekly basis. The script uses the command sudo dd if=/dev/mmcblk0p2 of=/media/backup/backup.img bs=1M which then backs up the whole of the SD card to a network location. However, during this period eventghost is locked up and sho...

Re: Raspberry Pi

Hi A couple of questions with this.. The Enable and Disable Rpi. is that purely for the list of observed values? so if I have disabled all those I dont need to worry about enabling or disabling? (for some reason the core voltage or core temperature fails, not sure if its a time out issue). I just go...

Re: Retain global variables on restart

Thanks, I've read the posts about persistent variables but the main one seems a very undeveloped idea and one that recommends against saving eg.globals variables across sessions, also it seems quite a complicated solution for a non-programmer. If you could easily export the eg.globals to a text file...

Retain global variables on restart

Hi How easy would it be to add in the function to retain global variables over a restart. Maybe to write them out to a file on shutdown and have the option to read them again when EG starts. When updating a plug in you need to restart EG, or if the machine is being restarted. For both the these you ...

Re: EventGhost on Raspberry Pi 2 Windows 10?

I dont think the pi version of windows 10 will be like window RT, its going to be designed as a developer platform for IoT, so if anything would do away with any user interface at all rather than metro and just leave you with a command prompt as per the GUI-less server software they have. I think th...
