Re: J. River Media Center Command Sender

I tried looking through this post and doing it on my own but I still get a JRiver not installed message. Here is what I have for enumerating the registry def _get_reg_value(path, key): d = _read_reg_values(path) if key in d: return d[key] return '' def _read_reg_keys(key): if isinstance(key, tuple):...

Bump. I'm not sure if the author is still out there but EG can't seem to find a device when I install this plugin.

I think you have a 64Bit installation of J.River Media Center. I've made small changes to access the registry on 64Bit. Please test the attached version.
Sorry, I should have been more specific. I have the 64 bit version of JRMC 25 installed. Thanks.

Any way you can upload that attachment? It was lost in the forum outrage. Thanks.

Re: Logging Windows operations? Moving application to virtual desktop?

I'm getting this error when I run that as a python script on EG 5 RC 4 Traceback (most recent call last): Python script "1", line 479, in <module> ctypes.byref(pDesktopManagerInternal) ArgumentError: argument 2: <type 'exceptions.TypeError'>: expected LP_GUID instance instead of pointer to POINTER(I...

Re: Logging Windows operations? Moving application to virtual desktop?

KG, I'm just curious about if you pulled these API calls from windows 7 or windows 10. Win 7 actually almost had a multi desktop feature and part of that may have been used to create the virtual desktops in win 10. I believe the win 7 virtual desktops might have been a part of sysinternals or someth...

Re: Hide mouse cursor?

If you don't figure this out as an alternative you could use EG to move the mouse to a particular position like the corner of the screen to get it out of the way

DarkSky for your weather applications after WU shutdown

I know there was some mention of a few plugins breaking after weather underground shut down their API. I have seen a few other developers bring up dark sky net as an alternative. Here is a link www.darksky.net

Re: Pulse-Eight CEC +

I finally have a PC that sleeps correctly for the most part. Would it be possible to use CEC+ to only wake my PC when I press the sleep button on a remote or keyboard but make sure the PC does not wake for system events like when it wakes to record something or run a scheduled task?

Re: Screensaver problem

I'm wondering if when windows starts your screensaver it also starts to turn things off to save power, like your USB inputs. If your manually starting a screensaver before windows power saving settings kick in, then things like your usb ports might not be put to sleep. I know you said EG still regis...

Re: Eventghost does no longer start (after Windows update)

I would bet someone on the MDL forums can get windows sandbox into consumer editions of windows 10. At one point I had Hyper-V installed on my Windows Home Server 2011 box. I think its a lot like what KG described where they just find the right cabinet files and extract them. I remember editing the ...

Re: Eventghost does no longer start (after Windows update)

KG, I can try out those changes if need be. Piert, i'm still going to look into blocking updates for you, and I have done this in the past but I'm not sure what has changed since version 1511. I set my ethernet connection to metered via a registry hack, configured windows to not download updates ove...
