Re: Any way to send events from EG to SmartThings?

Even simpler, use MQTT.

See the link below how to setup and link a MQTT broker to SmartThings. Then use the MQTT Client in EG to get a possible 2-way communication EG <-> SmartThings

Re: Mopidy

I used to use Mopidy but actually switched to using Logitech Media Server (LMS) with my old Squeezeboxes...and a soft version piCorePlayer running in a raspberry pi provides the solution for me including support for Spotify and much more. You could actually have a network of pi's fully controlled by...

Re: RFXtrx

I have no control how the plugin is installed, it is handle by the core part of EG. A manual work-around is to open the .egplugin file with winrar and extract the content directly to the plugin folder.

Re: MQTT Client

I didn't understand well how it works with MQTT, espacially how to create a "sender". What is a "broker"? I recommend this reading: http://www.hivemq.com/mqtt-essentials/ Last question : may eventghost trigger events between each other using MQTT? Of course, is a very good way to do it. You can use...

Re: TellStick Duo

Alright, a new version is released that I think works the expected way. You can configure the macro/action like in this example:

Please note, it works only for on/off commands (dim levels 0 and 255).

Re: TellStick Duo

Is possible to update the levels with a python command? Well, yes but it would be a rather complex script needed. The python code that updates the dim level of a device to '255' looks like this self.plugin.dimDeviceData[str(id)] = ( '255'+ '|'+ deviceName ) As you can see, we need the device id and...

I think it might be easier to help you if you share the complete python script. Or illustrate with a view from your configuration tree

Re: RFXtrx

Connect the RFXtrx433 with RFXmngr and enable the AC and ARC protocols. If you transmit a command with Telldus Duo you will see the address of the device that can be used by the RFXtrx433.

Re: RFXtrx

Yes, they are different a) You can only have one connection to the RFXtrx at a time but it is a direct & fast connection. For the Duo you do not connect directly, you connect via a service (TelldusCenter) so you can have several connections listening to events & sending commands with the Duo. With E...

Re: eventghost in a raspberry pi?

I don't think so, the Windows 10 that is said to be supported in the RPi is without the gui. And who knows what other libraries are missing. Your best bet is to change to a small computer that supports full windows. I have myself a Gigabyte BRIX with SSD disk and it is working great & silent.
