Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

Mastiff According to the YNCA protocol the correct syntax should be @MAIN:MUTE=on This plugin uses the YNC protocols not the YNCA. I do think they could have come up with a little more distinct names. So, the commands in the "Send Any Command" should be. Main Zone <Main_Zone><Volume><Mute>On</Mute><...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

You can not cut any .py files from the plugin folder as they are all dependent upon one another. They could have been combined in to one giant file but that would have been terrible to maintain. jachin99: Your problem is your response from your Yamaha receiver. Either the data is corrupt by the time...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

I am sure you could use a program like IrMaster to do a conversion. I don't really have the time to figure this out since I don't have a rav534 remote to do the testing. Nor do I even know what the "home" button is use for. Does it do anything directly to the receiver or is it always passed on to th...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

I recently add a Yamaha TSR-5790 to my system, and this plugin is working perfectly. The "Home" button on the remote is the only one I don't see a command for though. Anyone have an idea what the command would be? I would add it manually if I could find it myself. I don't have a yamaha remote that ...

Re: Nest Thermostat plug-in

I just updated the plugin. I must have never really checked and or finished the get schedule information action. Most likely I had to roll back to previous version and forgot about that change. Either way it is fixed now. Could you leave feed back that the day are correct for you schedule. Mine was ...

Re: Nest Thermostat plug-in

The schedule data structure has changed again. I can look at it some time. I know I will be able to read it, but setting it might be difficult.

Re: Nest Thermostat plug-in

I choose to upload the eco mode action as a separate action away from the normal heat, cool, range modes. This do to the completely different way they are implemented. I also looked over my data retrieved from my nest thermostat and it shows nothing like what the developer site shows. This has stoppe...

Re: Nest Thermostat plug-in

I did have a little time to play with the eco mode. I can get it in and out of eco mode. I still need more time to change over the away temps both high and low to the newer eco data format. I also have other code sections to look at before uploading. I will get this out hopefully just after this wee...

Re: Nest Thermostat plug-in

I was given an email from them to stop production of the plugin since it was violating there new terms of not collecting and keeping any type of information. In other words they only want me to query their server, do whatever and then delete the variable and keep no record of it. I am not even suppo...

Re: Nest Thermostat plug-in

I had the message on my thermostat with the newest firmware update. I have not even looked in to the eco mode. I am really busy with my job, but will be looking in to the changes that have gone unattended for some time. I really think I can now push a new update as it has been quite some time since ...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

All of the "api" stuff is earlier in the thread. It consists of an excel spreadsheet that you can use to make each command. However, it is now getting old, and I have not gotten a new one from Yamaha. You can use the "Get Info" command and get what state info you need. You could just get larger grou...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

is it possible to receive notificantions in eventghosts in this plugin? The receiver doesn't push out any notifications via the Ethernet. That is also why I the plugin doesn't auto notify on changes. If however all you want is confirmation that it was received by the receiver, it doesn't print out ...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

I can look into it, but it may take a little while. I know that the send any command doesn't always work the way it should. For the Send Any Command try: <Main_Zone><Sound_Video><Adaptive_DRC>Auto</Adaptive_DRC></Sound_Video></Main_Zone></YAMAHA_AV> or <Main_Zone><Sound_Video><Adaptive_DRC>Off</Adap...

Multiple Keyboards & Mice & Joysticks

I have over the years dreamed about being able to use two keyboards. One keyboard remains normal and the other can be completely overwritten. Every few years I look in to this. I think there might be a possibility. This would be an amazing addition to eventghost. So what I have found is http://www.o...
