Installed fine. Bug on sending commands:

I don't have time to setup remote access tonight, but can do tomorrow if needed to resolve.

Re: New Marantz TCP Control Plugin

Wow, that was mind-numbingly tedious. I think it would have been easier to edit the spreadsheet first. I know there are things I've screwed up, but I'm uncertain of some of the Denon command syntax. Do all of the EG Actions need to be unique? There are some entries that are just a hyphen. See spread...

Re: New Marantz TCP Control Plugin

Also I am going to add being able to use a serial connection as well. because the API is the same for TCP and Serial. That's very interesting. Perhaps you'd make this portion a standalone so that people can use it for other devices that can have only one serial or telnet connection at a time. Most ...

Re: New Marantz TCP Control Plugin

If possible, I would suggest that all additional clients connect to computer 1. If computer 2 is off, computer 3 will have nothing to connect to.

Wow. This has been the Achilles heel of these Denon/Marantz plug-ins. A breeze for you; not so much for mere mortals.

Re: New Marantz TCP Control Plugin

kgschlosser, That's very generous of you to offer your time for something that you don't even use yourself. For devices like this that have many, many commands that most people will never use, I wonder if it's worth the time to automate the vast majority of them when any of the oddball ones can be u...

Re: Weather Underground Plugin

Could you just provide a reference for other languages and let the user input the language key in the config, for those who want something other than the default of English? Would every user need their own API key? If so, that would limit the universe of uses willing to go through that step. And for...

Re: New Marantz TCP Control Plugin

There are several Marantz and Denon plug-ins. The problem I've had with them is that they don't generate any/many events and/or they stop responding (presumably due to the one telnet connection at a time limitation). This plug-in is nice because it generates lots of events. I've modified it slightly...

Re: Install EG on Win10 Tablet?

it should be able to it's still a running copy of windows 10. but you will have to remember EG does not have a touch interface. meaning that you will most likley have to use a stylus or have really small fingers LOL I will sire a child for this very purpose I suspect a bluetooth keyboard/mouse will...

Re: How to generate event from HTML dropdown select list?

Okay, try it like this. I think it should work without multiple events sending it as an ajax post instead. <script> function onSelectFunction() { var value = document.getElementById("setTemp").value; var request = new XMLHttpRequest(); request.open('POST', 'EG', true); request.setRequestHeader('Con...

Re: How to generate event from HTML dropdown select list?

Sorry, I was referencing my earlier comment that I automatically refresh the page with <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5">. I don't have a clue how to setup a websocket connection to do this.

Re: How to generate event from HTML dropdown select list?

I really appreciate the help. That code works great. Because the page is set to refresh, once an item is selected, the event keeps getting generated. Any idea how to resolve that? I'm just trying to do a quick and dirty for my own use. Edit: The repeat appears to be because the page changes from *.h...

Re: How to generate event from HTML dropdown select list?

That code is progress. Now when I select an item, I get a popup that says, <Webserver> says: 68 , but no EG event. I would normally have a link like this, "<a href="commands.html?Test1">This is Test1</a>". When the link is selected, I would get an EG event like HTTP.Test1[]. That's what I'm looking ...

Re: How to generate event from HTML dropdown select list?

The problem for me is that javascript might as well be Swahili, without google translate. I did find an example of basic HTML that works, as adapted: <form method="get" action="status.html" name="Adjust Temp"> <select onchange="window.location.href=this.value;"> <option disabled="disabled" selected=...
