Re: How to generate event from HTML dropdown select list?

Thanks for trying to help, but I must be too dense. I still couldn't get it too work. <html> <head> <meta content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" http-equiv="content-type"> <title>select6</title> <script> function onSelectFunction() { var value = document.getElementById("setTemp").value; "your get r...

How to generate event from HTML dropdown select list?

This seems like a basic question, but I couldn't find an example. On a webserver plugin html page, how do you generate an event from a dropdown select list? Here's what I have so far: <form method="get" action="selecttemp.html" name="Adjust Temp"> <select name="Adjust"> <option value="65">65</option...

Re: Amazon Echo Skill EchoToEventGhost

I don't know of a built-in function for doing this, but I believe that using the utilities Devcon or Devmanview might do what you want. Discussed briefly in this thread.

Re: Update Namespace unavailable in PyCrust

kgschlosser, In the second post, you mentioned displaying all of the data from eg.globals.__dict__. I just started looking for that info and realized that only a few of the variables I set have values, but 'eg' has 'NO DATA'. Capture11.JPG There are no system variables available (all of that stuff i...

Re: AudioEndpoint

Another thing: I applied the suggested lib changes by jonib two posts above in the attached test version. Can please somebody test it with EG 0.4 and let me know if it works? (I would have to downgrade EG to test it...) Thank you! Hi Sem;colon, Just tried it out with 0.4.1.r1722. Tried a few action...

Re: Update Namespace unavailable in PyCrust

Do you know how far we are away from a 0.5 non-beta release? If it's soon, the 0.4 effort may not be worth it.

Re: Update Namespace unavailable in PyCrust

The right-click context is the problem one.

I'm happy that you're working on this useful addition to EG. Hopefully others will appreciate it.

Re: Update Namespace unavailable in PyCrust

ok it's to be expected. Good to know. but the last issue is gone i hope?? The hang on exit seems to be gone (yea). But if I open Show Variable List, then choose Change Value, a window briefly opens for the value to be changed, but it quickly disappears because the most recent non-EG foreground wind...

Re: Update Namespace unavailable in PyCrust

So close! I am getting a traceback error though: Capture10.JPG A reproducible sequence is: 1. After EG starts, open Show Variable List 2. Close Show Variable List panel (X) 3. Try to open Show Variable List again 4. Traceback error Same pattern if using Show Nested Attributes instead of Show Variabl...

Re: DeviceRemoved & deviceAttached twice in a row, hoses Mac

I think you could also do it without a python script. Notionally, something like this:

<My Macro>
Event/Trigger
Disable <My Macro>
Perform desired actions
Wait some amount of time for duplicate events to finish (if necessary)
Enable <My Macro>

Pako previously described a method to ignore duplicate events in this thread.

Yes, m19brandon described this in the first post. He's programmed it so that anything after "Return Msg:" in the response is what Alexa says. Here's a simple example that just echos back whatever you say:

Re: Possible to mute individual programs?

Add Macro or Add Action -> System/Windows Command. You might need to experiment with the options. There's also System/Start Application if Windows Command doesn't work.

Re: Possible to mute individual programs?

Check the AudioEndpoint plugin to see if it does what you need. Otherwise, this is a bit of a kludge, but I think you can do it using the NIRCMD utility. Explanation here. You could use the EG Windows Command to execute. Haven't tried this exact thing myself.
