Re: Blackout Display

I am not sure if this is relevant, but if I choose 'File - options' in Eventghost, I get the following error about a language problem:

Re: Blackout Display

Per your suggestion I have deleted from program files (x86)\EventGhost\plugins and now using only the %programdata%\eventghost\plugins folder.

Still the same problem, unfortunately:

Re: Blackout Display

I assume the file needs to be in the WindowsVirtualDesktop plugin-folder (see top of the picture below). Still getting the same errors after restarting (as admin or non-admin). Ps: I was not able to save the notepad's .py file directly in the plugin folder. I had to save into another folder (I choos...

Re: Blackout Display

When I placed the downloaded folder "WindowsVirtualDesktop" in the folder C:\Users\vbperry\AppData\Roaming\EventGhost\plugins I can not add the plugin to my Eventghost tree. If I place the downloaded folder "WindowsVirtualDesktop" in C:\Program Files (x86)\EventGhost\plugins I can install the plugin...

Re: Blackout Display

Don't worry about kissing you; I have a girlfriend for that :D I do want to thank you for this though; tit sounds very promising even if Microsoft may mess things up between updates. I am currently in the process of getting my feet wet in setting up a virtual Win 10 in Virtualbox and I will be using...

Re: Z-Wave

Thanks for the feedback! The exact model of this brand appears not to be available where I live (The Netherlands), so I will do some more digging around to find the best alternative.

Re: Blackout Display

Kevin, have you ever investigated whether the virtual desktops that are available in Win 10 can be identified? I love virtual desktops, but they are not persistent over reboots, so once you have set all your applications to run perfectly on different monitors and for each of the virtual desktops, th...

Re: Z-Wave

and since you really like the remote control functionality of EG.. Here is the remote you want. https://www.amazon.com/One-All-OARUSB04G-Universal-Programming/dp/B00HNIHM5S Kevin, is it possible to copy the entire learned contents of the remote to another one (like you can with Logitech's remotes)?...

Re: it only took me 5 years

i can tell you that the flagship Alpine navigation system was about 1200 USD and now it is 3500+ USD.
I personally do not understand how these companies still get away with such incredibly high prices when the navigation apps are generally much smarter + more future-proof + less prone to theft.

Re: it only took me 5 years

I think that you are right in saying that the artificially created 'wealth' (mainly money printing) is predominantly benefitting the super rich. Also, the mega-success of the FANG companies partly hides the fact that most US companies are actually struggling. To create the 'production output' of the...

I used he price of gold 22 years ago and what thee price of gold is now. because thee US dollar is backed by gold then the cost of living should be a direct reflection of what the cost of gold is. and as you can see the numbers do not match what the US Government is saying I am sorry, but US dollar...

Re: Eventghost does no longer start (after Windows update)

Thanks for looking into it, Kevin.
Do you know if uninstalling my old Eventghost version and upgrading to a newer Eventghost version can be done inside a Sandbox for testing purposes like that?
What do you think would be the answer to that question after your investigation?
