Re: Can't run DisplaySwitch.exe

how come you are using batch files? you can use the Run Application action without the need for the batch files. I can manually run C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe, but it's stopped working from within EG and I can locate the keycode for the home key as well.. give me a minute on that one.. I...

Re: Can't run DisplaySwitch.exe

I am not sure what DisplaySwitch.exe is.. but from what the name implies is it does something with your monitors or display adapters.. I use it for my HTPC to swap between my monitor and my TV. If I run a batch file with: start "" "C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe" /clone exit It does the same...

Re: Can't run DisplaySwitch.exe

check the file permissions. I just looked it up and it's a part of windows. and windows may have chnage the permissions to the file You can't change the permissions, or reename/delete it. Only 'TrustedInstaller' has full permission. The rest just have read & read and execute. if it works as adminis...

Can't run DisplaySwitch.exe

I can manually run C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch.exe, but it's stopped working from within EG, perhaps because of the Creators Win 10 update?

I've tried running as an admin too, but it used to work without doing that.

Any ideas?

Re: New version 0.5.0-rc4 is out

You cannot use RDP and perform monitor actions. I wanted to let ya know that. I use nircmd to turn off my monitor screen when I'm logging in remotely, although I'm not sure if logging in wakes up my monitor, so it may be unnecessary. I am sure you have told me this before but what version of window...

Re: New version 0.5.0-rc4 is out

what caused it to freeze? I need to see the rest of the log to know what is going on. I'm not sure, but http://dumptext.com/OH3DOevi has the full log. It's too big to post here. I had a weird error last night relating to the MCE plugin. I didn't get any error, but all of a sudden I was getting doub...

@blaher I told you i don't give up and we will get it sorted. sometimes it's a simple comment that someone else makes that sparks a thought. or one simple little tiny thing i read that makes me think a little differently. It could be 10 minutes, 10 days, or 10 years. but i will find a solution. Tha...

Re: Can i specify a specific event to activate my macro?

so you need to change the file in the link i posted. There's quite a few files on that page. Can you tell me which one is relevant, please? I don't know if you realized this or not. But you were answering a post from 5 years ago. I just noticed that. LOL I have done it also. It is kinda funny tho. ...
