Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Yes, it's utf8. The problem is that the EG Network Sender plugin does not send data in utf8 by default but instead uses the system default which excludes a lot of characters. Try the following: go to the EG python shell and enter eg.systemEncoding="utf-8"; Then, send data to terRemote with eg.plugin...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Hi, thanks for reminding me of the Online Library. There is an issue at the moment with releasing the layouts. They should be online now. There haven't been any upgrades lately because I'm currently still changing the overall appearance of the app. I can't upload anything until that's done. But don'...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

The timer has two kinds of actions, one that is executed when the timer runs out and one that is executed regularly every certain interval. e.g, you can put the interval to 1000, then the interval action is executed every second until the button is relased. The answer by r0lZ is absolutely correct. ...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

I totally forgot about that error. I fixed it but it will only be in the next version. The problem is that the Java function by default terminates the base64 with a new line and this is interpreted by EG in the way you experienced... There is a workaround that works for short texts. Put "$base64enc{...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Perfect, Mike. I'll check. Mind if I publish the layouts? They look quite great. r0lZ, I stumpled upon the same problem. Here's what I did: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?> <EventGhost Version="1610"> <Folder Name="Clipboard sync" Expanded="True"> <Macro Name="Send Clipboard On Change" id="33...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

@Mike: I can't reproduce the problem but I'll write you a mail when I get home. We should be able to fix it easily once we are on the same page ;) @r0lZ: Do the events "WiFi state - connected["some_ssid"]" and "WiFi state - disconnected" appear in the log? If not, you probably did not select the fea...

Re: Tasker Plugin for EventGhost Android app

abuttino wrote:Where is the Eventghost plugin for this?
terRemote works with the regular network sender and network receiver plugins. You can forward messages "EG -> terRemote -> Tasker" and the other way around.
For setting up the communication, please refer to http://www.terremote.com/tutorials.

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

@Mike: Can you send me a screenshot via mail? I'm not sure if I understand the problem correctly. @r0lZ Thanks for the detailed description. I'll give it a try. Great work on the clipboard sync. I currently don't know where the backslashes are removed but if it's on the terRemote side, I'll fix it. ...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

@r0lz: Can you send me a (simple) export file of the free version and maybe again of the pro version (after the import of the first export file). The bugs of your second post should be fixed in version 1.35 that comes out today. Sorry for that and than you for reporting! :-) You can now set a differ...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

This is one of the bugfixes. Setting border width to zero should disable the border.

To obtain the previous behavior, try setting the border width to 1. Sorry if this causes you work.

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Hi r0lZ,

thanks for the feedback. It is safe to disable this permission. The startup does nothing but to check the "Use background service" option and start the background service in case it is desired. No harm done by skipping this process.

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Hi, first of all, the next version will probably contain an "action on error" option for the webview that is called whenever the content could not be loaded. There will also be a "reload" action for the WebView so that what you wanted to achieve should be possible by then. About the crash of mpg732:...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Hmm, still works on my device, also with the downloaded version from gplay. Which kind of url are we talking about (local ip, dyndns, ...)?
Does "http://www.google.com" work?
Which Android versions are involved?

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Don't, I have to check the error message when I get home but I'm quite sure that this error message comes from Tasker itself so firewalls are not the problem.

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

@scat: terRemote works with no-ip.org, though the "find" button does not. It only searches the local IPs. This might be a bit confusing. Just entering your address like "mynoipname.no-ip.org" in the IP field should work. Make sure that the port is forwarded by your router, otherwise you don't get th...
