Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Thanks, I'll have a look into that new Tasker issue and the problem with sending 2 or 3 times. I did not experience this, so far. You can use a relative url with the HTTP action, starting with a slash. The ip/url is then taken from the server property. E.g. if you write "/test.php" in the Address fi...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Thanks for the description. Easy to reproduce. Will be fixed with the next update.

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Hi, the issue itself is new to me though it might have a known cause. By "won't work with tasker", do you mean sending tasker data or receiving from the terRemote Tasker plugin? From the use you describe, it seems like the second one is more plausible. Did the terRemote notification about the backgr...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Alright, the update is out. It should fix the slider issue. Also, there are two new ways of sending multiline text, including base64 functions. The documentation will be updated tomorrow but it's pretty self-explanatory, I guess. The XBMC "Get Data" action left the beta status, you can now get the d...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

@mpg732 I'll fixe the slider issue in the next update. I want to include the (preliminary version of the) http action and I think I'll have some time tonight. @r0lZ You're of course right in what you say. The first-time user experience is something where I mostly rely on user feedback. So thanks for...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Probably because the send function needs an array as the second argument. Try

Code: Select all

eg.plugins.NetworkSender.plugin.Send("Set.Volume", ["19"])

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

In this case, the value you are looking for is the first entry of the payload (index 0). When Macros react to events, they automatically provide the payload and other things as variables. In your case, the variable is ${payload.0}. It will have the value 34 (or whatever you send). Just setting the "...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Which error do you get? Does this also happen when you use the EventGhost Android app by Tim Hoeck? Can you send from one computer to the other?

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

@r0lZ: first of all, thanks! I did have nice holidays :-) You're right that it is currently not possible to send multiline strings to terRemote. Originally, I wanted to add support of the "\n" string for new lines (and I'm still going to do it) but you're base64 approach seems to be a more general s...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Just came back from my holidays. Sorry for not writing anything for a while. @erwin: Icons currently don't use identifyiers, which is why you can not select them with string values. You can use the "if" action in combination with the "Change Widget -> Icon" action to achieve what you want to do. Abo...

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

If the task name is misspelled, Tasker displays a toast message saying that a task could not be executed. It does not appear in the log, though.

Can you send me a PM with your email address so I can send you a test version? I would like to diagnose this a bit further.

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Hi, there is indeed an issue with the test button but I think it works with Tasker actions. There is a log on the Taker side, when you press the menu button it's the very last option. You have to activate it before you can see anything, there. Would be interesting to know if something appears there....

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost

Hi Mike, I am always trying to add more compatibility to other devices. The problem usually is time and the missing hardware to test. There are so many things one could go with, though. :) The only thing I can say for sure: There will be an action to send http commands, soon. This already lets you c...
