Re: Roku and Now TV network control plugin

bengalih, What I would like to do is just be able to provide an IP address - and then use that to connect directly to the roku and ask for its serial #. I haven't quite figured out the python code to do that yet - so for now you need to specify both values. You can use the try_connect part only in t...

Re: Run cmd as admin

On windows 10 I can't get your to work. I have to use just {win} not {win+r} then I can get it to work.

On windows 7 it works as you had it.

I don't have any windows 8 VMs to test.

Re: Windows 10 and EG

I just installed win10 and had the exact same issue. I knew that Win10 was going to have a much stronger permissions, but could not believe things like this would happen. I fixed it by taking ownership of the Program Files x86 directory. This not only solved EG issues, but other programs as well. If...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

Hi, just noticed some bugs when I tried to manage a second Yamaha amp with a second instance of the plugin. * each instance has the IP-adress hardcoded * each instance work fine when the "other" is disabled * when both enabled, only the last defined instance work BR /Björn I have addressed those is...

Re: Including payload as part of a trigger

After the event triggers your script: my example from log SchedulGhost.TempEvent u"test"

Code: Select all

if eg.event.string == "SchedulGhost.TempEvent":
    if eg.event.payload == "test":
        eg.TriggerEvent("My Event Name")
this results in: Main.My Event Name

Re: Limit Wifi data usage when mobile tethered

So for setting this up you can use scheludeghost plugin. This is probably the easiest way for someone new. Load the plugin, setup were to save the scheduleghost setting file, then click on "Show scheduleghost manager" "Add new" Make one that looks something like this: schedule setup.jpg You can chan...

Re: Limit Wifi data usage when mobile tethered

yes you can if you are doing it by SSID. I had a similar situation with bitsync. For googledrivesync.exe you can use this in a script: from subprocess import Popen, PIPE, STDOUT, SW_HIDE import os #this should get you your current SSID proc = Popen("netsh wlan show interfaces".split(),stdout = PIPE,...

Re: Convert dictionary results to integer

hello yokel22, I actually am the creator of the Nest plugin, while I don't update it anymore do to their newer terms of service, I can help solve this really easily. You did everything correct up to your last line. By placing the 'temp' and 'id' it was not getting the value in the variable. Like in ...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

For all "Get Info" actions it requires a python command/script of: print eg.result In other words, all results from the "get Info" go to the standard eg.result. The function return. The error messages you got I assume is because the receiver was turn off? If so that is normal, I don't have foolproof...

An update is up for the renaming of inputs. I think I covered all actions, but I don't really have time now to check every action that uses sources.

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

I see the issue that you can rename your inputs on the receiver and they even show up in the "get available" action, but can't use them. I will look into the remapping them back to their internal name. Update to come when I have enough time. Thanks for pointing this out, as I don't usually rename an...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

Here is a simple script that could be expanded for a constant monitoring of a yamahaRX. #for reference #item[0] = object #item[1] = zone/category #item[2] = value #item[3] = suffix in TriggerEvent from threading import Thread import time def MYFunction(objects): while eg.globals.YamahaRXscan: time.s...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

here is an example you could use within your configuration tree try: Sub1 = eg.globals.Sub1 #checks if global variable has data / sets the local variable except: #only happens if eg does not have the data speakers = eg.plugins.YamahaRX.GetInfo('PreOut Levels', 'System') for x in speakers: if x[0] ==...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

The only real way (and the same way the webpage does) is to query the device. I don't really want to continuously query the receivers at a constant interval. Newer sony receivers do it differently as they have 2-way communication with each pc, tablet, phone that connects to its web page. The source ...

Re: Yamaha RX-Vxxx (or similar) Ethernet Plugin!

here is a way to get an individual speaker per-out level.

Code: Select all

speakers = eg.plugins.YamahaRX.GetInfo('PreOut Levels', 'System')
for x in speakers:
    if x[0] == "Subwoofer_1":
        level = x[1]

#now variable level carries the correct value
print level
