Referencing files as Python scripts?

Post by jwilcox25 » Thu Aug 24, 2017 1:10 am

Is this already possible and I am missing it? Would be useful in order to use an IDE/editor of choice, commit to Git and share to Github as Gist/repo. I imagine it would be conducive to sharing code in the community

I mean for the Python Script action item settings dialogue, can we reference an outside file instead of manually typing our code in EventGhost?

sure. you have to place the .py file in lib27/site-packages if you are using EG 0.5 and lib26/site-packages for EG 0.4 and just do an import from there.
