Postby GBWebmaster » Fri May 19, 2017 8:13 pm

is it possible to create a EG-event with a batchfile?

I have try it with the following code, but nothing happens ... :(
Code: Select all
"C:\Program Files\EventGhost\EventGhost.exe" -e Task.Start.VPN

what operating system are you using?

because if it's anything newer then windows XP that batch file command is not going to work

Now this one will

Code: Select all
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EventGhost\EventGhost.exe" -e Task.Start.VPN

Hello kgschlosser,

your command doesn't work, because the operating system is Windows7 (x86).
It's not a x64-system ...

Ha! I forgot about vista and 7 being 32 bit also.

When you key that same command from the command prompt does it trigger an event?

You could also try changing the working directory and just key in the executable.

Code: Select all
cd "C:\Program Files\EventGhost"
eventghost -event Some.Event

Not sure why that would make a difference. But it may.

I found out, that my first posted code works - but only with highest privilegs (my EG also works with highest privilegs...).
