I need help with Reaper and EG please?

Hey guys, so I wish FIRST to learn how to trigger 2 VST plugins fx in Reaper with EG using the mouse or keyboard with my final purpose to trigger those 2 events from my phone and a handheld device. I only need to toggle the Bypass buttons shown with the red arrows.

I am not all that technically savvy so please bear with me. I found this video online:
