Auto resize photos?

Post by Phil » Thu Dec 04, 2014 10:52 am

Hi
Im looking to do the following.
- Drop a photo from my phone into a dropbox folder
- Have eventghost detect the phone
- Resize the photo to a set percentage (say 40% of its original size for emailing)
- Put the new photo in a different dropbox folder and delete the source file.

I've found a PHP app called Imagick which looks like it may to do the job of resizing (possibly using the scaleImage command) but wondered if anyone else had a solution to this before I started?
http://php.net/manual/en/imagick.scaleimage.php

thanks

Phil

Perhaps you could use some batch files and start those from EG? You could use an image editor tool that you can start with a command line, something like:

sorted
for reference:
Using mogrify in imagemagick lets you resize the image by a percentage. You first have to generate a .bat file then execute it in the image directory for it to work.
