UPDATE YOUR BOOKMARKS!!!
We have an issue that there is no way around as of yet.
I have done all I can to try and prevent this from happening.
We are going to be losing the .com, .org and .de domains.
We have not been able to contact the original author of EventGhost
(the person that owns those domains) to redirect them to the new web server.
I set in motion when we first moved a redirection from the old server to the new server.
I also put in markers so that search engines would see this change and update any pointers
they have. We still have the .net domain for the production site. and the .rocks for the test site.
For the past few months you have been getting redirected to the .net site if you used one of the 3
domains mentioned above. I just wanted to tell everyone so they can make any changes needed.
I've used eventghost for a while and have made stuff work but the plugin I request would make things easier. So what I'm looking for and how it could be used.
Right now the enable exclusive disables a group of macro's leaving only one enabled to accept event's. What I want is Plugin that will enable a group of macro and leave one disabled. I've done this using macro's but a single action would be much cleaner and easier to deal with. How can? would this be used for example if you have a AVR with five or so inputs that are used and a TV with 2 or 3 inputs. With this each action that changes a input is in a macro grouped into a folder by device. Lets say you want to watch TV for this your AVR needs to be on HDMI 1 and your TV needs to be on HDMI 3. Since you just finished playing a game the TV is on the right input but the AVR needs to changed that action would be available. But the TV action would be disabled since your already on the right input.
Hope I explained this right, basically stop you from going where already are!
If someone with programing skills thinks this is a worth while cause Thanks
Sorry man, it is pretty hard to understand what you are looking for.
My guess is that you have macros/folders for different inputs for both devices on the same level within a folder and would like to disable all but one of these.
My proposal for something like this would be
You actually need an action "Disable exclusive".
Unfortunately, it does not exist.
I see two possible solutions (no programming skills required):
1) You must use (in each macro) several actions "Enable an item" and "Disable an item" and specifically enable or disable always all macros.
2) The second solution I am not able to describe well in English. Better to look at the attached file. The principle is that each macro occurs multiple times.
I agree with you. Been wanting to do the same thing. Vox commando has the enable disable groups. Very handy.
But Eventghost is still the main automation so it can run while vox is on or off. Less activity to worry about
So of a group of macros you want the currently/most recently run macro to not trigger again? (I'm going to call these profiles, xbox. tv. ps3). I'd consider setting a variable and testing it when a macro is triggered, may be not as eloquent as preventing the trigger altogether but it would save on multiple enable/disable actions. Plus you can test which 'profile' is active from other macros as well.
