When I get back to my computer in 10 to 15 minutes I will fix this last error. This is happening because of the disconnect being in there. It is probably a message letting you know it's disconnected. I think I am going to need to know what that message is when I fix it.

sorry it took a while. I have been working on some important things. Remodeling my house. The whole thing. Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, adding walls, removing walls, leveling the house. all sorts of things. fixing 60 years worth of hack contractors making a mess of it.

I finished up the plumbing. ripped out all of the copper and put in a manifold setup using PEX with a tankless water heater. I also ripped out all of the gas lines and upgraded the size to handle the much higher BTU output of the water heater. I am almost done with the HVAC (reducted the whole house), almost finished with the electrical. pulled out all of the original wiring and put all new in (old was aluminum), moved the main load bearing wall in the house over 6 inches. LOL it was to make the hallway to the bedrooms wider. 30" wasn't gonna do it. put in a new center column in the house. old one was a 4x6 on each floor. 4x6 is rated for 7,000 lbs at an 8ft height. i have a 700 sqft section of the roof (top) with a very slow pitch maybe a 4 in 12. with 5 foot snow loads. snow weighs about 15 lbs per cubic foot, do the math I did. I still do not know how the house didn't fall down. had to replace a 3 story 30 foot long wall because of rot from a leak.

I have these 3 guys doing all of the work. It's amazing to watch. their names are Me, My self and I.

Yeah I know. I have had a lot going on lately. I have been working on this house for about 2 years now. But I have managed to work my way into the main living space. and the master bedroom. so if i wanna stay married i have to finish it up as fast as possible. The rest of the house i have been working on but it has not been a big rush to get it all closed back up. so I got what needed to be fixed, fixed but didn't close it up yet. To many times have i completely finished a project to have to rip it apart again. I had to do it 2 times with my media room. But the main living space is different.

Bad news... this morning when I resumed my computer from sleep, XMPP didn't reconnect automatically, and got this error :

Code: Select all

08:37:43 Traceback (most recent call last):
08:37:43 File "threading.pyc", line 801, in __bootstrap_inner
08:37:43 File "threading.pyc", line 754, in run
08:37:43 File "C:\ProgramData\EventGhost\plugins\XMPP\__init__.py", line 185, in _thread_loop
08:37:43       self._client.disconnect()
08:37:43 AttributeError: Client instance has no attribute 'disconnect'
So I said to myself, disable/enable the plugin to make it reconnect, and... EG froze again.... so I had to restart EG, and after the restart everything works fine. Despite this, there are still some enhancements that had been made, because when the plugin is working properly I can disable/enable it as much as I want without a hitch, it wasn't the case before your final fix, so this should be kept in mind.

If you could take a look at it (again.....), would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi,

I got the exact same behavior this morning, it happens when I put my computer at sleep at night, and resume it in the morning. The only way to make it work again is to restart EG... What happens when the computer goes to sleep in EG ? does it close the opened connections properly or just everything is closed brutally because the computer is shutting down ?

Any thoughts on this ?

OK if it's a sleep thing i can fix it.

I think what is happening is the connection is timing out or something like that while the computer is asleep. so I will have it disconnect on sleep and on resume reconnect.

ok I am going to copy whatever it is that is in that disconnect and see if I can get it into the plugin. this library that is used is all voodoo code. can't follow a damned thing in it.
