JVC HD-1 RS232

Post by owagner » Mon Dec 17, 2007 9:15 pm

please find a very simple and unfinished Plugin to control a JVC HD-1 projector attached.

Code: Select all

# Except for the power and menu commands, the HD-1 only offers remote control
# emulation (at least, only those are documented). There are two commands which
# yield a reply:
# - Get Power returns the current power status
# - Get Input returns the current input status
# The replies from each command are returned as events, e.g.
# JVC-HD1.PowerState.Standby
# JVC-HD1.Input.HDMI2
Feedback welcome.

Since I just tried the plugin with my HD350, I see some commands have changed slightly.
Anyone still using or maintaining the plugin?

Bartman, I have tried to use your changed version of the plug-in for serial control of the JVC DLA on my X500, but didn't get anywhere. When I try to send a Get power I get the response "Devic not found" and "Got no ACK". Is that because JVC has changed the commands they use, or can there be another reason? I am not confident enough to try to modify the plug-in, but I have found the info for my projector, with some examples. this is power on:
21 89 01 50 57 31 0A
I tried to copy it from the manual, but it seems like the PDF is copy protected in some stupid way. I found it here:

http://www.projectorcentral.com/pdf/pro ... l_7992.pdf

(Btw I'm posting in this ancient thread because that's the on that is marked as the support for the plug-in.)
