Ive avoided this in the past purely as the machine I remote from has such a small screen compared with the machine I am connecting to.

Also - when connected remotely to the machine, EventGhost does still pick up remote control events (despite the primary display adapter showing the Windows login screen). So it's not as if it can't pick up events.
Incidentally EventGhost is running with elevated privileges in these scenarios.

I have the same issue, except with Vista as an HTPC. If I remote to the machine and disconnect, the main session goes back to the User Login page. EventGhost is running, but nothing works until you click the user icon to resume the session - trouble is when you rely on EventGhost to send all your ...
