I have tried what this, the information sent by the device is hexedecimal and finishes with \xFF.
So I indicated this character as terminator.

This creats an bug:

Sorry but as indicated in my last post, I am able to send data "SERIAL PORT : WRITE DATA" is working OK

I have issues with reading data on serial port either using the "SERIAL PORT : READ DATA" action or expecting an event.

1 => How to use "Generate events on incoming data", I have selected the box but no envent appear

2 => How to use the read function, my device send me 17 bytes hexadecimal return information, I would like to read it. I have tried ...

I would like to control a device (vid├®o switch) via RS232 , I have no RS232 port on my PC , so I am thinking about a USB to RS232 cable.

How does it work with Eventghost ?
Do you have a solution to recommend ?

I can set the preset on my camera (9), but I need to move it so I can reach the good position.

I have already an hardware system with serial communiciation but I want to try IR, so I do not need to install cabling each time I work on a event.

Should I escalate the issue to USB-UIRT ? What do you recommand ?

I will stay stupid about IR signal but it is not an issue for the time being. (My camera is Canon VC-C50)

Little issue : the camera move is not continous, sometimes the camera goes moving continuously and faster but I don't understand the reason !
