Still a little more information.
Looks like my HID vendor ID is 15F4 (= 5620 dec). Vendor list tells vendor name "Valuesoft". This is what is reported by EG when I remove the USB receiver.

However, HID device 5620 does not give anything when activated with the Generic HID plugin ...

Some more information. Here http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/RealTek_RTL2832U is Linux support information about the device. Seems that the device uses same keys than Terratec. I did not find more information which specific model the keymap terratec_slim refers. Terratec may of course use same ...
