It sounds like you're trying to communicate between an elevated EventGhost and an unelevated Python script, or vice versa

Multiple/Too many instances

I have a couple of Python scripts that create events in EventGhost using:

subprocess.run([eventghost_location, '-e', 'EVENT NAME'], shell=True, creationflags=0x00000008, timeout=15)

It runs every 5-30 seconds (depending on various situations) and after a few hours, Windows task manager will show ...

Can't find window or can't perform actions on window.

I'm having trouble getting EG to recognize a window for an application I'm running, that or performing actions on it. I can't tell which.

I use Find Window and have tried the following actions: Bring to Front, Maximize, Restore, Move Window to...

None of them seem to work.

If you follow the instructions in the thread and create macros to disable the plugin while EventGhost is focused, maybe once a day if you're unlucky? Otherwise, pretty much every time you open EventGhost

That seems to have helped quite a bit!

you can either use a great plugin that crashes through no fault of its own, or you can use an awful one that doesn't.
How often would you say it crashes? I'm having this problem as well and would love to remedy it.
