What do you mean by WIndows 10 is controlling your remote? Are you just trying to use a MCE remote to control kodi, and it suddenly stopped working? If you disabled driver signing enforcement before to get this to work, you can double check and make sure that is still disabled. Does anything show ...

EventGhost Stops Working Randomly
I've been using EventGhost with Kodi since 2012 and it seems every 3-6 months EventGhost flakes out and stops working. This has happened on 3 different machines and I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar things happen and knows how to fix it?
