Sorry to bump this old topic. I just want to note that EventGhost Forwarder plugin for Growl no longer works with newer versions of EG. I can use it in EG v 0.4, not v 0.5.
I'm not sure how much of anything is still in development, but I use the Forwarder to get Gmail notifications from the still ...
