Re: General Observations and Comments on the project

Hmm, so I was playing with EG for a friend the other day, and again thinking about how there's so much unrealised potential in EG... Saw there've been some management changes...

USB-UIRT Long button press

Hi.

When relaying IR via USB-UIRT (eg: volume from IR remote to amplifier IR) the IR transmission seems to stop the UIRT plugin from recognising that the remote key is still being held down, and so autorepeat doesn't fire. It works fine providing that the macro doesn't include a USB-UIRT tx. Is it ...

Re: General Observations and Comments on the project

I'm sure you're right that if I'd gone in and started editing the wiki I'd have got some support from others - but I'm not going to put effort into something that's co-ordinated by someone with such an entrenched negative attitude towards the venture itself. c.f. the attitude (documented above ...

Re: General Observations and Comments on the project

you simply sound to me like many other thankless users

My interest in doing whatever I can to help with something I was incredibly thankful for has gone from huge two days ago, to absolutely zero now. Because of your attitude.

The problem is not 'thankless users' - it's you.

Get over yourself.

Developing a plugin presumably also takes dozens of hours? But it's enjoyable right, and you feel appreciated?

and the users will, I'm sure, provide the content.
The new wiki is even easier to use than the old one, as every forum user can directly start editing it. But not a single normal user has even tried to edit some typos. So there is only one conclusion: they are simply lazy and bad, if they get a ...

Re: USB-UIRT Event Codes

OP here.

Thanks for replies.

But why would you need to change the configuration in EG?

It's more curiosity than need. But it's inconsistent to have some arbitrary profiles 'translated' and others not - so configurable (or rather, extensibility - eg: drop in a 'translation' file for a particular ...

General Observations and Comments on the project

So I'd been meaning to play around with Girder for ages and ages - finally, having started reusing some kit for which I seem to have lost the remote, I ordered a USB-UIRT. While waiting for it to arrive I spent a few hours online just to see if there was any other software I should look at - saw ...

USB-UIRT Event Codes

Hi.

I was playing around with a different profiles in a cheap universal remote in EventGhost, and suddenly, rather than getting the normal event strings like "USB_UIRT.NEC.32CD2856", "USB_UIRT.Unknown.545578D4" and "", I started getting "USB_UIRT.RC5.TV1.VolumeUp" and "USB_UIRT.RC5.TV1.Green ...
