Ok, it looks like that keyboard has an antenna attached to USB, and nothing to do with IR, so its signal should be unaffected by the plugin. Also, HID isn't disabled entirely, it is only disabled for devices that show up with a GUID of 745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da or 745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe ...

i am using windows 7, you think its because of the firewall ? It might be, as the XBMC plugin communicates with XBMC via the network, try to disable the firewall and see if it works, if it works when the firewall is disabled, then you need to configure the firewall to allow network traffic from/to ...

since i started playing with EG and the MCE plugin (that disables the HIS) i noticed lags and wired behavior form my keyboard. could it be attributed to the HID ?

It's intermittent and happens after many tries even with the TV on and with the TV off, I tried all the configured MCE buttons on the remote and they were all recognized.

It happens to me too, same thing the log is ...

The Receiver is less than 1m on the same axe from the TV .

I noticed it too last night. I pressed the BLUE button of MCE remote once and EG logged 3 events starting with Vista.Unknown. I press it again, it logs as MCE.Blue and next several presses ...

now i will have to change all of them to the corresponding mcevista

BitMonster showed you how to change the eventname by editing the plugin with a single line of code, if you want. Or you can use notepad to open the xml macro file and just do a find and replace, changing all ...

disaster, don't know what happened but EG shows the commands when i press the MCE button but doesn't perform anything in the action list associated with that button press.
I'm not sure I understand. I think you are saying that EG is showing an MceRemote ...
