looking good I noticed the prefix of the old Transmit macros could not be changed using in the xml, i had to change it manually (copying the pronto commands by hand) to a new added transmit command, other than that the transmit works on both blasters (!!!).

Ok, it looks like that keyboard has an antenna attached to USB, and nothing to do with IR, so its signal should be unaffected by the plugin. Also, HID isn't disabled entirely, it is only disabled for devices that show up with a GUID of 745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da or 745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe ...

i am using windows 7, you think its because of the firewall ? It might be, as the XBMC plugin communicates with XBMC via the network, try to disable the firewall and see if it works, if it works when the firewall is disabled, then you need to configure the firewall to allow network traffic from/to ...

since i started playing with EG and the MCE plugin (that disables the HIS) i noticed lags and wired behavior form my keyboard. could it be attributed to the HID ?

Please try it with the TV off and tell me if the receiver still goes nuts ?!
It's intermittent and happens after many tries even with the TV on and with the TV off, I tried all the configured MCE buttons on the remote and they were all recognized.

I noticed it too last night. I pressed the BLUE button of MCE remote once and EG logged 3 events starting with Vista.Unknown. I press it again, it logs as MCE.Blue and next several presses ...

I uninstalled the service and rebooted then installed the service again rebooted the computer ...
