I didn't have to install any additional drivers. It seems to be compatible with many apps for at least some functions. Thanks for the suggestion - I will try the keyboard emulation approach and see if I can get that to work.

I have a PC Card remote that I use as a presentation backup, and would like to use it with VLC, in particular. Unfortunately, it isn't recognized by VLC - it works with WMP, but I don't like the Windows functionality and lack of easy extendability. I was hoping to use EventGhost to set up the remote ...
