If I understand correctly then both mce plugins interface directly with the driver, would it be possible to build a plugin that uses raw input like described here, would that have limitations?

Actually it is really nice on the background memory if you set it up correctly. 8MB is the default if you check the 'limit memory consumption' option.

Using virtual memory instead is even worse, isn't it? EventGhost could at least be ten times more efficient using Delphi or C++. I guess the GUI ...

are there alternatives to EventGhost?

Hello,
I'm looking for alternatives consuming less resources, are there any? I run EG permanently in the tray using task plugin to track activation of media players to enable exclusive X10 remote plugin events sending keys to media players.

It's not easy on the working memory either (I've got it running in the background permanently), I'm still loving it though. :mrgreen:

Hello,
I wish you would have used programming tools using not such waste amount of space. It's like Firefox, highly versatile and extendable but a huge resource hog. Good us movie fans have big HD's anyway :D
