From what i've read, this is a Boxee issue which is probably not easily solved by Event Ghost.

I had better luck using this receiver vs. my terrible original one. I use it with Boxee, which is very similar.

Initially, I purchased this remote to use on my Acer Aspire Revo HTPC box:
