I installed the latest version of EG and the strange behavior is gone.

By the way, the actual focus does not change. If I press a key, for example, the event still goes to the same application. Just EG shows that it was deactivated and the desktop was activated. This is bothering me because it switches to another exclusive mode and it changes my button assignments.

No, I do not use a plugin. Regardless, it can happen with any application (this automatic deactivation) so the problem is a little more generic than XBMC.
Anyway, my main usage for the remote is XBMC so I will try tonight the plugin.

Few weeks ago I started to notice that my XBMC was not getting the right key presses anymore. Usually that happens when some other app steals the focus but now it is not the case. Looking at the event ghost window, I see that after activating XBMC (Task.Activated.XBMC), it stays for few seconds ...
