Re: Webserver error / connection attempt from outside IP?
AFAIK, EG do not have such feature.
Instead, if you using LAN router with network filter function, you can adjust and enable it.
Or, you can install on machine with EG some free or non free network filtering software.

Re: Webserver error / connection attempt from outside IP?
I suppose, your machine with EventGhost is using, so called, "real" IP address, accessible from outside network (internet).
It is extremely insecure, because no one can guarantee, that your software, EG's web server in that case, absolutely error-free. Such errors can be used by a hackers to gain ...

It is also can be possible IR incompatibility with such kind of EventGhost actions (which depending on key pressing time).
I'm using "homebrew" IR receiver, connected to the sound card line input together with WINLIRC.

Re: SleepTimer like on TV
It is not impossible to display "Sleep Timer off" instead of "Sleep Timer 0". But it requires some reprogramming of the script.
About your second question.
Single press of remote's key should just display current value of SleepTimer. Additional key pressing with pause between each press no more ...

Re: SleepTimer like on TV
Hi Zhan ,
No no no. You have to add to autostart section a python script. And inside that script you have to add those 3 lines.
After that, you should save your config and restart EventGhost.
This is just a definition for variables for SleepTimer script. If they are missing, then SleepTimer will ...

Re: VLC media player
Hi.
For vlc 1.1.11 and EG 0.4.1.r1534 on OS XP prof SP3 it's very easy.
I use following code:
Switch between "long" and "short" jump:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<EventGhost Version="1534">
<Folder Name="JumpControlForVLC" Expanded="True">

Re: Please help w/ changing the channel using USB-UIRT
When i talking "dig", i mean you have to find a workaround with USB-UIRT, to send random IR-codes, to control your TV. But i don't know how, because i don't have a USB-UIRT controlling device.
But the goal seems not to be impossible, because with scripting you can do nearly everything.

Re: Please help w/ changing the channel using USB-UIRT
It seems, i totally misunderstood you, and push you into wrong direction.
You don't need Multitap plugin, if you not planning to use IR-remote.
You have to "dig" USB-UIRT plugin. Sorry.

Re: Please help w/ changing the channel using USB-UIRT
Does your way of controling TV supports sending commands, like "go to the preset random channel xxx"?
If so, then Multitap is a right solution for you.
But keep in mind, what Multitap itself cannot control your TV directly. It's EventGhost plugin, which can help you to generate events you wanted ...

Here goes a short description by the author of the Multitap plugin.
If it's not sufficient, ask, and i'll try to explain more.

Re: Please help w/ changing the channel using USB-UIRT
You can easily achieve this with Multitap plugin.Stalltime wrote: They all work fine but what I cannot figure out is how to jump to a specific channel straightaway! For example entering channel 123 in event ghost would send all three IR codes sequentially and change the channel on my TV to 123.
