I'm sure that this has been asked but some more info would be good. I would like to run Event Ghost on a raspberry pi. I'm sure that the Pi runs python, as its preferred scripting language and I was kind of under the impression that EG runs over python. Is that correct? If so...... how would ...

Use the EG window control macro to emulate the key sequience to start MCE:
Windows Key+ALT+ENTER
that should do the trick
