I've got EG setup to control Mediaportal, which works nicely.

What I now want to do is be able to adjust the Master volume of my PC with the remote when not using MP (or any of the other programs I want to have EG profiles for, like XBMC), so that I can easily adjust the volume when playing games ...

Well it seems the last digit changes every time I re-sync the remote and receiver (perhaps when moving the receiver to a different USB port as well). Is there anyway to use a wildcard for the last digit (i.e. 164) in the script so that I don't have to edit it everytime I resync or move the receiver?

This is just weird. After working fine since my last post, today I went to use my remote and it wasn't working and the light was stuck on the receiver. So I unplugged it and reconnected it and it started working after that but EG was just throwing up errors, so I rebooted but that didn't help.

If anyone needs a plugin for the Emprex 3009URF http://www.emprex.com/01_news_02.php?newsid=98 I managed to modify one of the default scripts to work with it and all the buttons now register in EG

Every button now registers in EG with the attached script.

Unfortunately not as it's not a 'real' MCE remote (which I think sends unique codes for the D-pad and number pad, rather than presenting as a keyboard device and sending Enter when OK is pressed).

It's extremely annoying as every time I leave my desk and try to use the remote and watch TV, I realise I haven't enabled the Keyboard plugin and so I can't use the D-Pad and I have to disable it every time I use the PC for anything else, otherwise the Enter key doesn ...

I had this MCE-type remote working with EventGhost and Mediaportal on another PC but I've moved it now and can't remember what I had to do to get it working.

Most of the keys do work and are mapped in EG to Mediaportal/Message Plugin, it's just the directional keys I can't sort out as they are ...

Unfortunately, I am a big EG newbie, but nobody else has replied yet, here is what I would try:

Have TMT running.
Open EG.
Look for an action called something like "Find Window:xxxx" and double click to open it.
In that window look for the 'Drag Finder'. Drag the cross hair to the TMT window ...

I don't have the plugin Process Watcher either.

Strangely I've just rebooted and it doesn't seem to be doing it anymore, so I'll keep an eye on it to see if it starts happening again.

I don't know if csc and adm are new as I've never seen any processess listed like this in EG before.

Is eventghost's (left-pane) meant to show Process.Created/Process.Destroyed for every program that's started/closed?

I've not noticed it doing this before today which is why I ask. Some, like Process.Created.adm and Process.Created.csc I don't even know what they are.

If I press the D-pad it shows Keyboard.Left, Keyboard.Right, Keyboard.Up and Keyboard.Down in EventGhost. There's also a Clear and Enter button which show as Keyboard.Escape and Keyboard.Return. I'd like to trap these last two so that either they don't send Esc and Return in Mediaportal or ...
