thanks for the hint. Unfortunately the Application Observer plugin does only create process created/ destroyed events. I need Task activation/ deactivation events.

Plugin: "Task/Switch Events" not working w/o exelorer.exe
On my Windows7 System the Plugin "Task Create/Switch Events" will only throw Events when explorer.exe is running as shell.
I have removed the explorer shell on my HTPC (EG is the shell in my case) and can never receive any Task.Create/ Switch event.
