Re: New way to get MCE Remote signals in EG (for Vista/Win7)

Hello,

I believe this plugin will remove the OS handling of the MCE remote and only send the commands to EventGhost.

Is there a way to do both? Basically, I'd like to use the MCE receiver with a Harmony and I'd add other generic remote commands to my Harmony HTPC device as well as having the MCE ...

Re: ATTN: USB-UIRT owns: UIRT + EG = good solution?

Yes, I know you could dismantle the USBUIRT too.

The Tira2 was just much easier to mount. It's designed to mount with the circuit board vertical or to the front of the case with standoffs (in mine the steel front plate behind the window).

The USBUIRT is designed so the board mounts horizontally ...

Re: ATTN: USB-UIRT owns: UIRT + EG = good solution?

They seem to be about the same price.

Are there any inherent advantages to getting the Tira 2? This is the first I've heard of it. My thinking is that the USB-UIRT is 'better' since it has a lot more user suppot (read: EG forum users ;) ) behind it. Nonetheless, I am interested in the Tira 2.

I ...

Re: ATTN: USB-UIRT owns: UIRT + EG = good solution?

You could also consider a Tira 2 from http://www.home-electro.com. Great guys to deal with. Got mine within a few days through the mail. Similar to a USB-UIRT but I purchased the OEM version that is just the circuit board and is meant to mount inside a case. I put it inside behind my case window and ...

Re: send different IR codes each time remote button is pressed?

I'm assuming you mean you will press a button on the remote and you want the USBIRT to cycle through transmitting 4 different codes?? Maybe I didn't catch you question right.

If so, it looks like it should be easy to do. Check out the State Macro examples that come with the program. Just expand on ...

Re: iMon remote control

FYI,

I got fed up with the Soundgraph and bought an OEM Tira2 from www.home-electro.com. I mounted it in the window on my case just below the Soundgraph. I've got a Silverstone LC14 case with the big lexan piece on the front so there was lots of room to put the receiver inside the case.

I kept the ...

Re: Simple question: remote to keyboard action

It's not to bad once you first do it. But, I didn't really see anything that gave a quick tutorial of how to add something and I had to play for a while to figure it out.

On the right pane.
Click on the context folder and click the Add Folder - folder icon at the top to add a new folder. Call it ...

Re: Which Harmony Remote device?

Thanks for the tip. I just hadn't found a good remote profile to use yet. I'll give that VDR one a try.

Re: Which Harmony Remote device?

Well, I just tried to pick the Soundgraph Imon Pad from the Harmony database and it won't update to my remote. It gives an error. So, still looking.

Which Harmony Remote device?

Hello;

What is a good device (remote) to pick in Harmony database for a H659 remote. I'm looking for something with lots of buttons and prefer functions like vol / channel / arrow keys / FF / RW / play / pause / record etc to exist on the chosen remote so it's easier to map to the Harmony buttons ...
