Re: trigger macro or event using keyboard shortcut?

Having to buy a hub [vera] is kind of disappointing. It is an extra expense and installation.
so if I choose a product like this, what would I be able to do with it without having a hub?:

I don't have to buy the hub in order to control z-wave door locks through event ghost or their website. Am I right?

IFTTT and lifx does some of the fancy stuff that Z-wave does. E.g. set a time when the lights turn on or off, turn on/off on sunset/sunrise, blink/change ...

Re: trigger macro or event using keyboard shortcut?

Oh wow! That's a much elegant and simple solution than mine! Thanks blaher

I have a smart lightbulb called lifx , and I was trying to build a macro to email my lightbulb to turn off or on. Then it will launch a website "IFTTT" to make sure that it has received the command [my email].
I did all that ...

Re: trigger macro or event using keyboard shortcut?

hello,
Here is a crude way to do it which might help someone in my situation.

Make a new file in eventghost.
Instead of making a macro, put all desired actions in autostart.
Save the file and close eventghost.
Go to the file location and make a shortcut.
Right-click on the shortcut, select ...

thanks blaher. I am using Dragon NaturallySpeaking to press all my keyboard shortcuts, that's why control+ F5 did not work. However, when I asked my caregiver to press it using the keyboard, it worked just fine.

I guess keyboard plug-in and Dragon NaturallySpeaking 13 is not compatible ...

hello

I am trying to use mouse move absolute, but I cannot find a way in eventghost to display my X and Y mouse position.

It seems like a simple problem and it must have a simple solution?

Thank you
