All of my intermittent connection drops went away when I connected the USB-UIRT to a port on a dedicated USB PCI card (I used a dual port USB3.0 card, renasys driver).
I have 2 HD-PVR's which may have been related to the connection loss.
Just make sure you re-install the beta USB-UIRT drivers ...
