How can i repurpose my MCE remote sleep button while still allowing the system to go to sleep after 1 hour of inactivity ?

Why not just set your computer to go to sleep after one hour of inactivity using the Power Options settings (Windows 8: Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options ...

Remapping sleep button on MCE remote

I have a Rosewill remote (RHRC-11002) with a "moon" button. The button is used to put computer to sleep and wake it.

I'm trying to modify it so the sleep button so it only wakes the computer (this is the only button on the remote able to wake it).

If ShowKey doesn't see it, I don't think any program will get it. Maybe your remote is faulty.

Does the ir receiver has a led which blink when it receives signal from the remote ?
If so, does it blink when you press the info button ?

This remote is MCE certified, so, does the info button works in ...

Just tried with Showkey... most of my buttons are detected by the program but not the info button ... what the hell :(

Yes i see the device in device manager as an USB device. How do i add the HID plugin ?

Do you see other button presses from the remote being logged in EG as normal?
No matter what key i press on the remote, none is logged

Make sure you have unchecked the box "Log only assigned and activated events".
