Re: New HDMI-CEC plugin

Yes, I tried using the default macros with no luck with regard to the TV only. All other CEC devices respond as expected.

A few other things of note, I also bought/have the pulseeight CEC device. However, I could not get that device to work with anything at all. Additionally, your sweet event ghost ...

Re: New HDMI-CEC plugin

Yes, I'm trying to use the TV's internal tuner.
I'll have to check how my audio is connected when I get home.

barnabas1969, could you share or PM me your macros relating to your TV and Receiver?
At the very least, I should be able to learn a great deal by reverse engineering.
I'm particularly ...

Re: New HDMI-CEC plugin

Yes, so I tried using the same macro I got working for the media center but modified to switch the TV Source to "TV" However this does not seem to work.

When I do this the TV stays (incorrectly) on the HDMI source that the AV is attached to (in turn the Media Center).
What should happen is the TV ...

Re: New HDMI-CEC plugin

First off, barnabas1969 you are AMAZING !
Thanks so much man... for helping with my "not able to control tv" issue. I triple checked the Addresses and those seem ok.
I then used your Macro specifically and it works like a charm. So not sure exactly WHAT my deal was.
I know I tried the select ...

Re: New HDMI-CEC plugin

The physical address is simple. The first digit is always the port number of the HDMI port on the TV. The 2nd number is the port number of the HDMI switch (if any) that the next device in the chain is plugged into (or zero if you have the device plugged directly into the TV). HDMI switches can be ...

Re: New HDMI-CEC plugin

Nice. Thanks barnabas!
I somehow missed this post. Very detailed, give me a day to dive into this and try a few things.
I need to read up more on how the physical address is formed. It sounds pretty straightforward though.
It would be really sweet if I could get it to work. I'll keep ya posted ...

Re: New HDMI-CEC plugin

I had this problem at one time. I don't remember the exact details, but I had to make my EG macro wake the TV (even though it was already awake) and select the device for playback (even though it was already selected) in order for my TV to start communicating with the device after turning on the ...

Re: New HDMI-CEC plugin

Has anyone had the issue where the plugin can communicate with all CEC devices BUT the TV . Even though the TV device is showing in the Plugin device list.
More info...
- TV = Samsung 46" LCD
- TV appears in plugin device list
- When TV Turns off it successfully turns off other CEC devices.
- TV's ...

Re: New HDMI-CEC plugin

Hey Patrick(hotbuddha)
Not sure which is best, as each seems to be used.
First off, great work with this plugin.

I'm sure the issues I'm having are with my lack of experience with EventGhost and/or HDMI-CEC. I was wondering if you could help point me in the right direction?
I've spent the past 1 ...
