Hello,

I have made a first prototype for the Rain8 devices. The Rain8 devices are targeted to automate the sprinkling of your lawn and garden

If you unzip the attached plug-in and try it out, it is rather self explaining

It doesn't do very much at this stage, the "business logic" is not implemented yet. I thought starting like this makes sense. Then we can discuss the GUI and functionality first

Regarding the actual transmitting of X10 commands, I have assumed that you will need a X10 device for this (like CM19 or similar) that is supported by EG

My idea is that the Rain8 plugin will drop events and that you will have to have one EG/Rain8/X10 macro defined for each Rain8 zone to control

Let's begin the challenge,

Best regards, Walter

Fanstastic!

I'm out of town on business until next Friday. I'll be working on it soon... give me 2 weeks to get some time set aside.

Walter, thanks for working on it - this will be great. EG is really taking great shape thanks to the community's efforts.
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system
