Several months ago, I requested support for universal modifiers be added to EventGhost. Today, I'm releasing my customized version of the Keyboard plugin designed to do just that.

Sometimes, it's more convenient to hit Ctrl+Alt on the right side of your keyboard. Sometimes, it's more convenient to mix and match. In preparation for such instances, you can either add every possible event trigger to each and every action in your config (in the worst case scenario, Keyboard.LShift+LCtrl+LAlt+LWin+A, Keyboard.LShift+LCtrl+LAlt+RWin+A, Keyboard.LShift+LCtrl+RAlt+LWin+A, and all 13 other possibilities), or... you can use my plugin. Keyboard.Shift+Ctrl+Alt+Win+A. Simple.

When you install my plugin (by unzipping it to EventGhost\plugins\Keyboard and overwriting the existing file), you'll need to manually enable universal modifiers in its settings dialog. This is to ensure your existing configuration isn't affected until you're ready to make the switch and to allow the developers of EventGhost to bundle my work with the official distribution if they so choose.

Yes, this is a hack. To the best of my (limited) Python understanding, it's as optimized as it can be, but a native solution would absolutely shave off many wasted CPU cycles. That said, until such a time when one arrives, this is what I'll be using, and my hope is that some of you will find value in it as well.

Code critiques (me no speaky the Python well) and any and all efforts to bake native support for this into EventGhost will be much appreciated. Also, I'm a big fan of free money and loose women.
