Windows volume up with receiver volume- how to fix?

Hello,

Just started using EventGhost and want to use it to intercept a gyration remote's volume up/down command and convert them to onkyo serial volume up/down commands. I have figured this part out; when i press vol. up on the remote, the onkyo volume goes up, however the windows system volume goes up as well. I'd like to prevent the system volume from going up, how would i go about doing this.

My system is: EventGhost 0.3.7.r1262 on windows 7 ultimate 32bit RTM.

I set the volume control up in the pregenerated volume control folder but set the macro so that only the remote key event, onkyo serial control, and repeat button function were left in the macro. Not sure if this matters at all. Thanks in advance.

I imagine theres gotta be some way to prevent this, no?

I read somewhere you may be able to flush the keyboard buffer prior to the action getting passed along, is this correct?

I'm guessing the gyration is working as a MCE or Generic HID device? If so your problem is that windows is doing it's default action and also EG is doing whatever you set it to do. Theres lots and lots of posts about this subject on the forum already.

The remote is working as a generic HID device. I tried googling for a fix and searching here but was unable to find much, but I will try again.
